Embark on a Voyage to the Heart of the Ocean's Bounty and our Region's Historic Coastline

With Narragansett Bay Sport Fishing, every location we visit is more than just a spot on the map — it’s a chapter in the grand story of the sea, rich with life, history, and the promise of adventure. Join us as we journey through the most fertile fishing grounds of Rhode Island and Massachusetts, each area with its own tale to tell.

Narragansett Bay, RI

Our home base and namesake, Narragansett Bay is the heart of Rhode Island’s maritime industry. With arteries that serve the state’s plentiful coastal resources, the Bay offers vistas of lighthouses and great opportunities to view seals in the winter months. Narragansett Bay is also host to a number of thriving aquaculture farms growing seaweed and shellfish.

Block Island, RI

Nestled in the Atlantic, Block Island is a jewel of biodiversity, where the confluence of cold northern currents and warmer southern waters creates a unique marine habitat. Seasonally, anglers can delight in the pursuit of Striped Bass, known for their vigorous fight and impressive size, especially during the early summer months. The waters here, ranging from shallow flats to deeper channels, offer a dynamic fishing experience, with the chance to also hook Bluefish, Fluke, and the occasional Black Seabass. The island also offers a number of points of interest for aquatic tourism, being home to the East Coast’s first offshore wind turbines and offering a chance to spot marine mammals such as dolphins and whales.

Cape Cod Bay, MA

Cape Cod Bay, with its storied maritime history, is a must for those seeking the elusive bluefin tuna, especially in the fall when they migrate closer to shore. The bay’s relatively calm waters and varying depths provide an ideal setting for both trolling and casting, offering anglers a thrilling challenge. Beyond tuna, the area is also a haven for haddock and cod, providing a quintessential New England fishing experience amid the picturesque Cape Cod coastline.

Buzzards Bay, MA

Buzzards Bay is a hidden gem tucked away from the bustling Atlantic. Known for its calm waters and scenic beauty, the bay is a prime spot for targeting fluke and scup during the warmer months. The area’s shallow waters and protective coves also make it an ideal spot for fly fishing.

Coxes Ledge, RI

Venturing further offshore, Coxes Ledge is an underwater plateau that serves as a magnet for marine life, attracting species such as cod, pollock, and even the occasional shark. The ledge’s complex topography, with depths plunging dramatically, provides a dynamic habitat for fish, making it a hotspot for those seeking a deep-sea fishing adventure. The area’s exposure to the open ocean means conditions can be challenging, but the potential rewards are unparalleled. We also offer viewing tours of South Fork, the largest offshore wind farm in the region, located on Coxes Ledge.
